Based in Alberta Canada, musician & songstress Marion Walsh has sung her way across the US & back again, nestling her way into Canadian territory where this incredible Roots/Americana artist now calls home. Through her travels, she has found inspiration in the mountains, prairies, rivers, oceans & through everyday people she has met along the way.

As a young child, Marion recalls listening to a Capella music, which enticed her senses. Her father was a music director of several groups in her hometown of Owings Mills, Maryland. Rehearsals were held at her house twice a week. So, from the time she was 5 years old until she left for college, Marion found these four-part harmonies as compelling as sledding, raking leaves, and catching fireflies. She adds harmonies to every melody she hears, usually having several different parts in her head at one time. "My head can be a very noisy place!" says Marion.

Later, Marion moved to Boston. It was there that she performed regularly in clubs, coffeehouses, and on live radio. She also enticed patrons with her beautiful voice at various venues in Portland, Oregon, where she lived prior to moving to Canada.

Marion has two full-length CD's to her credit. “Home to Home,” released in 2005, and “Early,” released in 2009. Both works were written & recorded in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she lived for a number of years before her recent relocation to Canmore, Alberta. Her CD single “Song for My Father” was released to the International markets to an overwhelming response. Significant airplay soon followed.

Marion is gearing up for a second International radio campaign for her single “Tell Me,” from her "Home to Home" CD. She is working with world renown publicist Danie Cortese known for having worked with Emmy & Grammy winners.

An intuitive and spontaneous composer, Marion feels that her inspiration isn’t complicated. Instead of trying to write songs, she prefers simply to pay attention; to stay open and allow the songs to take shape on their own. Her best works have taken the least amount of time and effort to compose.

When she is not singing and writing music, Marion spends as much time as she can outdoors. Stay tuned for more on this incredible talent!
